World Book Foreign Language Edition

L'Encyclopédie Découverte is would be the one I would recommend to patrons wanting to learn a new language or those whose second language is English. The main reason is due to the fact that it includes all three languages: English, Spanish and French. It is very helpful to be able to switch for one language to the other on the same picture. The comparison of two animals found in Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos is wonderful.

The reading aloud is great for learning proper pronumciation. It is very helpful to be able to speed it up or slow it down. A person learning a new language would be able to practice speaking aloud and check their progress against the reading available. Immediate feedback is very beneficial to the learning process.

  1. Yes, indeed, Sooo Much! We think the Foreign Language Edition offers a lot to native speakers of French and Spanish, as well as those trying to learn the languages.
