Proquest

I decided to search birth order. The initial search resulted in 820 articles. I narrowed this down by selecting full text and 12 months. This resulted in 27 articles which was much more manageable. The "search more articles like this" box to the right always gave me thousands of matches. I don't believe that would be very valuable to someone looking up information. Since all of the article are from journals, newspapers, etc., this database is very valuable to anyone who would need to research on any topic whether it is a research paper or a personal interest.

I did a search in the publications with The Horn Book Magazine. I was very impressed by how far back the magazine dates go and how easy the articles are to locate. I did not realize the number of journals available in Proquest. I was also surprised to find that I can choose to have the article in the language of my choice. I have used the option to email articles to patrons who needed assistance in researching a topic and it is wonderful. Proquest is very well organized and easy to navigate.
